Exciton Science has a representative governance structure which utilises the skills of a diverse group of members to individual and collective advantage. The Centre’s leadership and representative committees allow members at all career levels to gain experience.

The Centre’s leadership teams consist of the Executive Board and the Scientific Committee. The Centre also has two advisory boards, the Centre Advisory Board and the International Scientific Advisory Committee.

The Centre facilitates a Postgraduate Student Committee and a Postdoctoral Researcher Committee, to provide a voice to these significant cohorts within the Centre’s membership, and to provide these representatives with leadership experience.

The Centre’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee plays an important role in creating policies and developing mechanisms focused on ensuring all members of the Centre, as well as visitors, collaborators and prospective members, feel safe, welcome and celebrated as they study and work.
